Abstract
The pandemic forced the people to become incarcerated in their homes. During these difficult times people were forced to bide their times by reading and watching TV or computer screen. The books people read during these times inspired the people to mark the destinations people wanted to visit once the pandemic was over. The paper explores the relationship between literature and travel. On the one hand, travel is boosted by the books. The destinations described in the books get a booster dose and become popular in very short time. On the other hand, the books also burden the readers with the prejudices and biases. Travel help in correcting the opinions by bringing people face to face with reality. In the times of pandemic virtual museums, galleries and travel apps have also become extremely popular. These virtual galleries and museums also act like books because they can be approached from the comfort of homes. However, these virtual galleries and apps bring people in contact with the artefacts; these cannot correct people’s opinions.
