Abstract
This research investigates the role of employee commitment as a mediator between job satisfaction and organisational performance based on data gathered from a convenience sample of 623 employees of travel agencies in India via both personally and an electronic questionnaire. Employing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) by Smart PLS 3.0, the study revealed that job satisfaction is positively related to both employee commitment and organisational performance. The outcomes also confirms that Job satisfaction is a prominent predictor of employee commitment and both significantly predictors of organisational performance. Further, employee commitment significantly mediated the impact of job satisfaction on organizational performance in Indian travel agencies.
