Abstract
Despite the fact that the literature on “HRM” has explored the impact of HRM practices across organizational performance, satisfaction of employees and so on, not much attention has been given to explore mediation and moderated mechanisms in the context of sustainable-oriented human resource management practices and employee creativity and innovation behavior as well as employee performance in particular in the hotel industry despite its growing contribution to the national economy. Therefore, research gap of the present study was filled by carrying out research within the Indian hotel industry. The information was gathered among 467 employees of hotel organisations in India. The hypotheses proposed were tested using the structural equation modelling (SEM). The analysis affirms sustainability-oriented HRM practices greatly affect employee creative and innovative behavior and in turn the sustainability-oriented HRM practices interactivity indirectly affects employee creative and innovative behavior through employee self-efficacy and emotional attachment. Additionally, the employee proactive personality determines the employee self-efficacy and emotional attachment through sustainability-oriented HRM practices. Theoretical and practical implications were also raised in the research.
