Abstract
Labour turnover is a critical issue faced by many industries, particularly in labour-intensive sectors such as the automobile industry. High labour turnover can negatively affect productivity, operational efficiency, and organizational stability. This study examines the causes and impacts of labour turnover in automobile industries located in Karur District. Primary data was collected from 76 employees using a structured questionnaire. The findings reveal that career growth opportunities, salary levels, work environment, and work-life balance significantly influence employees’ decisions to stay or leave their jobs. The study concludes that improved compensation structures, better training opportunities, and effective employee engagement strategies can reduce labour turnover and improve organizational performance.
