Abstract
The hospitality sector in Jammu and Kashmir, a region characterized by its natural beauty and socio-political intricacies, is heavily dependent on a dedicated and innovative workforce to maintain service excellence and competitive advantage. This study explores the influence of perceived organizational support and employee advocacy on job embeddedness and innovative behavior among hotel employees in the region. Drawing on social exchange and diffusion of innovation theories, this research explores how employees’ views of organizational support and their willingness to promote their organization influence their retention and creative output at work. A quantitative methodology was employed, involving the distribution of structured questionnaires to hotel employees. The study’s findings demonstrate that high levels of perceived organizational support and employee advocacy significantly boost job embeddedness, which, in turn, mediates their positive influence on innovative behavior. It offers valuable theoretical insights into motivation within hospitality environments and presents practical suggestions for hotel managers to cultivate supportive, empowering work environments that foster innovation and reduce turnover.
