Abstract
Failing to run the organizations effectively is the result of failing to carryout HRM functions. This article has hypothesized those organizations not sustaining mean they do not practice human resource
management properly by making it strategic. The methodologies used in the articles are extensive
literature review and enquiries with the key people (managers) of the organizations taken as sample. The
organizations selected for the study are of two types of organizations: (a) ten business houses established some years ago but not in operation, these days and (b) ten business houses established some years ago and survived and are in operations these days. The findings of the articles base on the opinions of 100 respondents comprised of employees (managers)organizations. Finding of the research is the weakness in human resource management makes the failure in its effective functioning and sustaining competitive advantage.
