Abstract
Can regulating ones emotions help in workplace performance. This study explores the role of emotional regulation in the workplace. In particular, the study seeks to examine the moderating effect of emotional regulation on the relationship between perceived organi zati onal support (POS) and work–family enrichment (WFE). A linear regression analysis was performed on the data from 542 employees working in Indian firms to test whether emotional regulation moderat ed t he relat ionship between POS and WFE. The results confirm the relationship and contribute to the literature by providing a theoretical rationale for an empirical analysis of a model wherein emotional regulation moderates the relationship between the POS and WFE of an employee.
