Abstract
The study aims to investigate the impact of relative trust and psychological bias on investment behaviour and how it in turn reflects in their investment behaviour. Data for the study were collected from 187 respondents using a structured questionnaire from Imphal East and West districts of Manipur, India. The analysis was performed using IBM SPSS version 21 statistical tools such as EFA, Cronbach alpha, KMO and Bartlett’s test and Regression analysis. The study concluded that relative trust and psychological bias have a significant impact on investment behaviour, and it also translates into the investment decision undertaken by the respondents. The moderation analysis further revealed that gender does not alter these relationships, indicating that the behavioural effects remain consistent across gender groups. Future researchers can further expand on the study and incorporate additional behavioural, demographic and economic factors to get a more holistic picture of investment behaviour.
