Abstract
Purpose – The main purpose of this study is to comprehend and give a nuanced understanding of the growing significance of the newly introduced phenomenon of green fintech and its role in fostering green sustainability-oriented digital transformation across business firms. Study Design/Methodology Approach – A cross-sectional survey design followed by a quantitative approach was used to accomplish the objectives of the study. Data was collected using an online survey tool and from the participants namely Bank & Branch Manager, Digital Banking Officer, ESG/Sustainability Managers and IT & Digital Transformation Head. The mediating green fintech serving as an exogenous construct were Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage, Green Finance (GF) and Sustainable Digital Innovations (SDI) to check its association with Sustainable Oriented Digital Transformation measuring by using subcontracts
like Environmental Sustainability Performance (ESP), Resource Efficiency Improvement (REI) and Sustainable Growth (SG). For the statistical validation of the nature and significance of relationship between latent constructs, data was analysed using SMART PLS 4. Findings – The findings show that drivers of green fintech such as AIU, GF and SDI and its technologies, are a key to enhancing the performance of environmental sustainability, resource-efficiency and SG as well as soften sustainability oriented digital transformation within firms. The policy point here is that when the government examines and analyses such factors in the form of a coordinated policy framework, it can potentially generate direct positive sustainability outcomes through inducing innovative changes within the financial sector, which may promote sustainable and inclusive development. Originality/Value – The work is seen to be highly topical offering different contributions for academics & practitioners as it makes sense of the apparent anomalies in the literature in such new areas as green fintech. With businesses and financial systems becoming increasingly tech-driven, the likes of AI and GF solutions have proved to be enablers of environmentally-friendly initiatives. The combination of finance and tech innovation & sustainability goals has brought about disruptive generation for digital innovation; here is a big punch green in digital transformation, all sectors of startups would want to incorporate financial innovation along with sustainable objectives.
