Abstract
The research paper examines the current trends in the influence of sustainability factors on stock markets and stock prices. The study aims to provide insights into the developmental trajectory of this domain through a bibliometric analysis. Unlike systematic literature reviews, bibliometric analysis focuses on the metadata, allowing researchers to explore publication counts, citation trends, co-authorship networks, keyword co-occurrence, bibliographic coupling, and various other performance and mapping techniques. As a preliminary step towards identifying the right research topic, it is essential to analyse contributions in the field by various authors. Using bibliometric analysis, this paper identifies influential publications, prominent authors, and key citation metrics in the context of stock markets. The dataset comprises 859 studies, analysed using the VOSviewer application and the Bibliometrix R package. The findings highlight significant trends, collaboration patterns, and emerging areas of study, offering a comprehensive overview of the research landscape. This investigation concludes by pinpointing potential future directions for exploration within the field.
