Abstract

With ever greater emphasis being placed on environmental sustainability, the concept of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) and its implementation in organizations has received a great deal of interest from both academics and practitioners. This paper focuses on the impact of a few external and internal factors (stakeholder pressures, employee empowerment, supervisory support, green organizational culture and organizational commitment) in their role as antecedents on the implementation of GHRM practices in organizations in the services sector in Mumbai region in India. This paper focuses on exploring the role that actors and factors both inside and outside the company play in shaping its green HRM practices.
