Abstract

The paper is trying to discover the use of ecological Footprint tool with regard to sustainability in tourism. Besides, to developing and testing this tool as planning for conceptualizing and developing sustainable tourism. Furthermore, the aim of this research is to critically examine the theoretical base of the ecological footprint, issues its calculation, to account Ecological footprint and bio capacity of Egypt so as, A survey approach was implemented to collect data from tourism experts from Egypt using a completed questionnaire technique as an interview. However,the result revealed that, EF is an indicator and a tool for sustainable tourism although EF is not enough to measure sustainability it is an indicator for sustainable tourism in Egypt.
