Abstract

The academic field of entrepreneurship has evolved dramatically over the last three decades. It has become clear that entrepreneurship can be taught. Business educators and professionals have evolved beyond the myth that entrepreneurs are born, not made. Additional support for this view comes from the literature review of enterprise, entrepreneurship, and small-business management education. Most of the empirical studies surveyed indicated that entrepreneurship can be taught, or at least encouraged. In this backdrop the researcher has chosen this topic to study the discriminant factors leading to entrepreneurial traits among the urban, semi-urban and rural college students in Thoothukudi District

Keywords: Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Traits Discriminant Factors
